Rose Ranger is a Singer, Songwriter, and Actress, originally hailing from Vancouver's North Shore. She was raised in an eclectic and artsy family environment with the ocean and mountains a stone's throw away that provided a naturally vibrant space to foster her creativity.
“I was always musical, I didn’t really follow any one type, I absorbed it all. I grew up dancing: ballet, tap and jazz. And with dancing there is a different style of music for each dance form. With ballet it was classical, tap was mostly Broadway show tunes and jazz dancing had the pop and rock. So, I’ve been influenced by a lot of different styles of music.”
Rose's original songs have been featured in The Young and the Restless, Beautiful People, Strong Medicine, Undressed, Joan of Arcadia, Dawson's Creek, Party of Five, Hallmark's The Story of Us, Lifetime's Christmas Angel, Whistler Film Festival, CBC Docs, and the feature films The Bandit Hound and Deluxe Combo Platter. Rose has booked acting roles in film and television as well, with her most recent role on Supernatural's 300th episode.
Now with five albums and an array of singles, Rose performs both solo and with her band. She has toured parts of Canada, America, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Caribbean, and has been a guest performer for Disney Cruise Lines. Rose has written and recorded with hit songwriters and producers including, Ryan Stewart (Carley Rae Jepsen), Nick Bearden (Jamestown Revival), Mark Makoway (Serena Ryder), Kyprios (Sweatshop Union), Davey Badiuk (Tegan and Sara), and Steven Drake (The Tragically Hip).
